Distribution partnership between TriCAT and SKILLQUBE

TriCAT news

The digital transformation in the medical sector is significantly changing the qualification in education, training and continuing education measures for first responders, nursing staff and the medical profession.

Already in the last weeks of 2020, the course was set for a joint cooperation. SKILLQUBE now not only offers TriCAT’s highly immersive multi-user VR learning environment i:medtasim in its product portfolio, but the two companies have also jointly developed a groundbreaking course format for trainers who work or will work with VR technology.

The partnership between SKILLQUBE and TriCAT combines a proven (medical) pedagogical expertise with the technologically mature VR environment i:medtasim. To ensure sustainable learning success with trainings in a VR learning environment, competent simulation trainers are needed in addition to a mature and powerful technology. The new SKILLQUBE course format “Simulation Trainer Refresher” provides, among other things, an introduction to simulation in virtual reality and offers the opportunity to experience this learning environment for yourself on realistic virtual patients, detached from spatial conditions and limitations.

“Together with Skillqube, we are now pleased to not only present our VR development i:medtasim in the new Skillqube Training Center, but also to establish another exciting course format together in terms of content with a view to the needs of teachers and the changing use of training technologies.”

Markus Neuberger, Business Unit Manager Medicine / Healthcare at TriCAT.

The opening of the new SKILLQUBE Training Center in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region is planned for the end of March 2021. Here, a dedicated VR training room will then also be available for immersion in the virtual world. In the course of the year, SKILLQUBE and TriCAT will then jointly host this training course component “VR simulation” at the new SKILLQUBE Center in Rauenberg.
