Project description
Urban transformation processes are to be co-designed by citizens. However, the participation spaces made available for exchange are often still perceived as difficult to access. The goal of XR-Part is to involve more citizens in urban planning processes with the help of innovative VR and AR technologies.
To this end, an extended reality platform is being developed that consists of three components:
- a 3D experience and meeting space for temporary collaborative events.
- an augmented reality application in which different variants of planning content can be viewed
- an online participation tool to support on-site participation.
XR-Part is developed along concrete projects of two partner cities.
