Professor Dr. Carsten Lecon receives Best Paper Award

Prof. Dr. Carsten Lecon has received Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Computer Science and Education in Canada.

His conference contribution Virtual Blended Learning – Virtual 3D Worlds and their Integration in Teaching Scenarios was concerned with the use of virtual 3D spaces in higher education.

Professor Lecon described the results of his research semester in which he discussed the possibilities of virtual rooms and their added value for lectures at universities. In the summer semester, the new teaching methodology has already taken place twice – in a lecture course in Computer Science and a Tutorial at the Basics Center.
