What are the roles in TriCAT spaces® Congress?

1. Moderators congress room SL (with event manager rights)
2. Protagonists congress room P (with participant rights)
3. Spectators (only in the congress room)
4. There is no spectator role in the breakout sessions, everyone has full avatar interactivity

In the congress room up to 36 active persons can be invited either with event leader rights (moderators) or participant rights (protagonists).

Presenters who guide through the event, open slides on the media walls, start videos, operate the editor, switch individual viewers from “mute” to “open”, keep an eye on participant messages, etc., must be equipped with event manager rights.

Protagonists or speakers, on the other hand, who take part in a panel discussion or give a speech, for example, do not need these event manager rights, but can be invited with participant rights.

We recommend keeping the number of people with event manager rights in the conference room as low as possible.

1. Moderators congress room SL (with event manager rights)
  • have full avatar interactivity
  • can join the event 30 minutes before the official start
  • can change the audio mode of all participants in “Participant Tools” as well as the audio mode of individual viewers (from “mute” to “open”)
  • are also informed about the individual messages of the spectators via “Notifications”
  • can call “meetings” and bring individual participants (protagonists) from the backstage area onto the stage
  • can form groups, control the room effects (setting media walls, room light/dark incl. setting the branding color of the congress room, fill the congress room with dummy spectators), operate the scene editor and start polls for all participants and spectators via implemented poll tool

2. Protagonists congress room P (with participant rights)
  • have full avatar interactivity like moderators
  • cannot join 30 minutes before the official start of the event (ideally they have already practiced their role in the Dry Run)
  • can browse through presentations via the media walls (if the media walls are either not already occupied by presenters or have been released)
  • can receive and reply to chats from viewers (but do not see participant notifications)
  • can only operate the scene editor if it has been released by the moderators

3. Spectators (only in the congress room)
  • do not have a controllable avatar and an automatically open audio channel in the congress room
  • immediately have their own avatar in the breakout sessions with full interactivity and participant rights
Full avatar interactivity in breakout sessions for all

In the breakout sessions, the only distinction is between event leaders and participants. All viewers from the congress room automatically have participant rights with full avatar interactivity in the breakout sessions.
