Great Leap for 3D Learning and Work Environments
Continuing education: today and in three years – corporate learning becomes cyber learning
With the trend study mmb Learning Delphi, the mmb institute presents the evaluation of the survey from the autumn of 2016. The current evaluation contains long-term trends as well as evaluations of questions which were currently included in the questionnaire of the online survey.

Question asked: Learning forms for company learning
[...] The "learning environments in virtual 3D worlds" made a great leap forward - from 12 percent approval in the previous year to 33 percent. [...] have contributed to the success of various VR training courses such as "Glassroom", "Social Virtual Learning" or TriCAT Spaces.
Long-term trend: Augmented and Virtual Reality on the up
Also in the results from 2006 to 2016, computer-generated learning rooms (virtual reality) and computer inserts in real images (Augmented Reality) are on the up. Both are ranked in the list of learning forms with a future key importance in more than 30% of the experts' votes [...]
[...] "Over time, applications have developed here which emphasize explorative learning – alone or with others – and concentrate the attention of the learners through the “immersion factor” [...]
[...] Here, a form has also been established to "rent" virtual rooms temporarily to users in order to hold coaching, group trainings or seminars there. It could be that in the next few years, 3D learning rooms will replace the existing "Virtual Classroom" systems.
