Teambuilding
Discover applicable methods in TriCAT spaces® and strengthen joint problem solving and role finding in the team.
Labyrinth
Goal
Loosen up, get to know the team, internalize avatar control, strengthen immersion
Room setting
Large room with a labyrinth, e.g. in the outdoor area
Preparation
Set up the labyrinth with basic elements or walls, define and set up stations and tasks if necessary.
Have participants walk through a labyrinth. If necessary, a common goal should be found, which is hidden in advance by a moderator.
The labyrinth can either contain different stations (team building/puzzles/brainstorming/…), different paths and dead ends or a mixture of both.
Depending on the number of people, the labyrinth can be run individually or in groups.
Object-based teambuilding
Goal
Creating an identity for the team, loosening up,
Finding roles in the team
Room setting
Sufficiently large, predefined rooms for editor work
Preparation
Define topics, group division, define rooms
If there are a large number of people, the participants are divided into groups.
Each group is given a topic and an assigned room.
Using the editor, each group visually represents the topic/an aspect of the topic.
Tip: The topics can be informal (e.g. animals) or abstract (e.g. “How do you imagine the metaverse?”).
Scavenger hunt
Goal
Explore virtual space, internalize avatar control
Room setting
Defined and equipped play area (e.g. training room, outdoor area or entire room package)
Preparation
Hide objects (e.g. cubes with letters that make up a solution word), set up obstacles depending on the level of difficulty, divide into groups if necessary
The game is introduced and the framework conditions (e.g. duration, playing area) are presented.
The participants search the area for the objects alone or in groups. The participants or groups can either collect the objects for themselves or all the objects can be brought together in one place.
In both cases, the scavenger hunt is over as soon as all the objects have been found.
Draw together
Goal
Creative, joint problem solving
Room setting
Sufficiently defined group rooms, at least one whiteboard, smartboard or media wall per room
Preparation
Selecting, equipping, defining and naming group rooms and dividing them into groups
If there are a large number of people, the participants are divided into groups. Each group is given a topic and an assigned room.
The moderator gives a topic on which a picture is to be drawn using the whiteboard mode.
One person from each group begins to draw. After a certain time, the next person takes over and so on.
The individual groups then present their pictures to the whole group.
For this purpose, the group rooms can be closed or the pictures can be transferred to a central whiteboard using the mirror function and presented there.
