Participants are divided into six groups and sent to their group rooms. In the group rooms, participants find a question/challenge and a matrix consisting of three columns and six rows.

Within 5 minutes, each group fills in their columns and then moves on to the next group room. The ideas found there from the previous groups can now be supplemented or further developed with their own ideas. This is repeated 5 times until all rooms have been visited by all groups.

The ideas can then be evaluated by revisiting the rooms or subsequently by the moderator.

Preparation

Define the question or problem

blank

The moderator formulates the question/problem and then withdraws from the discussion. One person begins with a contribution on the topic and then passes the floor to the next person. The next person responds to the previous contribution and adds their own contribution. The floor is then passed on again. The participants are responsible for moderating the discussion using this method. Moderators can take notes on the course of the discussion and summarize the findings.

Tip: For TriCAT spaces® Congress, this is also possible in the role of spectator, but spectators must be “placed” on an object with a name tag. However, this requires moderation by a person with administrative rights for the event, as spectators cannot see names.

The moderator introduces the topic to the group. The participants gather in front of a whiteboard and write down their ideas and suggestions. The moderator works with the participants to structure the ideas and turn them into a concept.

Tip: If there are many participants, it is advantageous to form groups with several boards and, if necessary, audio zones.
