April 28–29, 2026 | XR EXPO | Messe Stuttgart
Agentic AI, Digital Twins, and the Corporate Metaverse in Practice
We will show you how the industrial and corporate metaverse is already being used today to create productive learning and working environments. Discover specific applications in the areas of collaboration, training in technical and non-technical fields, and organization-wide knowledge sharing.
The focus is on integrating XR-based environments, digital twins, and AI-powered systems. This includes AI avatar agents that can take over various roles in virtual spaces—such as trainers, coaches, or experts—and interact with users.
No-code and low-code authoring tools complement this by enabling organizations to create and scale their own virtual learning and work environments.
We look forward to seeing you at the TriCAT booth in Hall 2, Booth 2E16—or at one of our talks!

Agentic AI in the corporate metaverse promises a productive future
- Markus Herkersdorf, CEO TriCAT
Agent-based AI is currently transforming the way we work. In many cases, it remains unclear how these changes will impact businesses and organizations. This makes it all more important to understand the potential and challenges of this transformative technology. Using concrete examples, TriCAT demonstrates how agentic AI—in the form of avatars capable of speech and action in augmented and virtual worlds—can create highly productive learning and working environments. It also shows why companies should now invest in organization-wide corporate metaverse solutions to unlock the full potential for increased productivity and agility.

Collaborative VR learning environment for language development in the healthcare professions
- Thomas Weigelt, Refernt, Referat 41, ZSL
- Dominik Wichmann, Project Management TriCAT
The Center for School Quality and Teacher Education (ZSL) in Baden-Württemberg is currently piloting the use of a VR-based, collaborative learning environment at vocational schools in Baden-Württemberg. One focus of the pilot is its application in language support for non-German-speaking nursing staff. This field presents significant challenges for the future of healthcare in Germany. The project is scientifically supported by Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and implementation is being carried out by TriCAT GmbH. The presentation provides an overview of the project and the results achieved.

Context-aware AI agents in the metaverse
- Eva Binder, AI Solutions Architect TriCAT
- Dr. Felix Gaisbauer, Lead AI Team TriCAT
AI avatar agents take metaverse environments to a new level of productivity. In various roles—as trainers, coaches, experts, or freely definable personas—they often provide support or operate completely autonomously. The scope and quality of their ability to interact depend largely on their understanding of context. Metaverse environments, in turn, provide an ideal foundation for building this understanding of context. This presentation highlights the wide-ranging potential applications of such context-aware agents in both technical and non-technical scenarios.

XR/AI-supported participation in urban transformation projects
- Markus Herkersdorf, CEO TriCAT
- Prof. Dr. Heidi Sinning, Director of the Institute, ISP – Institut für Stadtforschung, Planung und Kommunikation der FH Erfurt
Participatory engagement formats are a key element of urban development. The XR-/AI-PART research project investigated the extent to which participatory processes can be optimized using XR and AI technology. Specifically, the project examined how both the experience and clarity of a planned construction project can be enhanced, and how this can lead to a broader and more interactive dialogue with citizens and stakeholders. In another project, the use of a persistent metaverse was then examined as a virtual teaching and learning space within the context of higher education and as a space for digital citizen participation formats. Both projects point the way toward future metaverse solutions for the public sector.

Defense Metaverse – from concept to implementation
Markus Herkersdorf, CEO TriCAT
The requirements for training in the field of both military and civil defense are currently undergoing fundamental changes in light of the global political situation. Training must be capable of operating in real time, be location-independent and accessible 24/7, and be conceived and implemented across organizational boundaries. This applies both to the collaboration among various stakeholders (the Bundeswehr, police, emergency medical services, fire departments, THW, BBK, and industry) and to integrated processes for training on equipment and materials—from the manufacturer (industry) to the user. The presentation will use concrete examples to illustrate the first steps toward the creation of a Defense Metaverse.
